Artist Demo

 The Oak Cliff Cultural Center and the Texas Sculpture Association
present a free lecture and demonstration in the art of fused glass and clay sculpture.

Date: Friday, February 18, 2011
Time: 7:00 PM
Location: Oak Cliff Cultural Center
223 W. Jefferson Boulevard - Dallas, Texas 75208

Nan Phillips will be offering a fused glass demonstration and
will display representative pieces of her art work and discuss the
effects of glass at various kiln temperatures. The audience will peek
into the kiln as it fires and watch what happens to the glass when temperatures reach 1500 degrees!

Art Wells will be sculpting a head in clay, going through the
entire process in this one-hour demonstration.
Audience members will watch as Art begins with a
bag of clay and other basic supplies to create a work of art.

Admission to the lecture and demonstration is FREE,
but seating is limited to 65 patrons,

Annual Membership Exhibition

February 4 – March 12, 2011

This annual event is a staple for Texas Sculpture Association (TSA), giving its members an opportunity to showcase their work. The TSA is a state-wide non-profit organization that provides sculptors the opportunity to learn more about the art of sculpture and share their artistic vision with the general public.
