Deana began working with leather in the late 1980's when she discovered that a wood burner was a great tool that produced amazing results.Tapping into her connection with nature, she began creating intricate pyrographic illustrations on leather.
In 1995 she began sculpting and has built on a process that allows her to create detailed sculptural works in leather. By including her hand crafted silver into many of her pieces, Deana adds yet another dimension to her work. Her work can be found in private collections across the country and in galleries in Texas, Utah, and Nevada. She is active with the Texas Sculpture Association and has been on the board since 2008.
Deana currently lives in Dallas, TX.
