Working with clay for many years, I have developed a deep appreciation for American styled Raku. Almost all of the clay pieces I create are fired using the Raku technique.

The astonishing results produced by this method allow me to communicate a message with my art. I look to history, mythology and nature for my inspiration. The Pre-Colombian cultures of South America are a current source of ideas for my work. A truly beautiful aspect of making Raku pottery is that each time I draw a new piece from the kiln I am rewarded by the certainty of having produced a unique and irreplaceable work of art

I am currently living in Lima, Peru and have developed a deep appreciation for the culture. My current body of work is inspired by South American history and religious artifacts. My work reflects the new experiences in my life and the world around me.
