Artist Statement
An adventure – that is what my sculpture is for me. The elements that form my sculpture often choose me. The shape, color, texture, finish and size give me my direction, often asking for the next step. I prefer assemblages because of the variety of possibilities and surprise element of the process. |

Background
After receiving my B.A. from E.T.S.U. (now A&M at Commerce) with a major in Commercial Art and a minor in Photography, I worked for Bloom Advertising in the art department for ten years. I have been in four juried TSA shows since I joined in 2001, winning 2nd Place in the second show which was judged by Tony Wright of the Fort Worth Modern. |

More recently, a solo show of my sculpture was presented at the Bath House Cultural Center, "The Shape of Things", a mixed media assemblage and sculpture show consisting of 20 sculptures of 29 pieces.
Enrique Fernandez Cervantes was the curator, creating an extraordinary presentation of my work.
