Born in Arjenteuil, France (outside of Paris), Pascale Mançon has always been an artist. Even as a child, she would play with mud, shaping it into works of art that she would let dry...and of course they would then fall apart.
Pascale expanded her creative focus
with sketching and painting. Her talent in these 2-dimensional forms brought interest from collectors and clients, yet she admits that her true passion is creating 3-dimensional art. To her, painting and drawing is "flat and fails to reveal the full truth."
Pascale's "pregnant pots" became popular and highly sought after, along with other beautiful and unique pottery. When she needed a holder for one of her pots, she commissioned a metal craftsman to create an iron stand. After waiting 2 years for it to be finished, she decided to make her own.
And that's when it happened. "I love metal! It will be here for a long time, and there are no limits to the size and shapes it can take." The freedom of not being confined by the size of the kiln launched Pascale into creative artforms from forging and welding metal into beautiful, functional pieces.
