Here is the latest info from Jeff Howle (building on Midway at I-635):
“Just a quick update......the excavation is complete, steel has been fabricated, forms are being set for the concrete & if it will ever dry out enough to pour concrete, we will be calling for inspections from the city & complete the pads for the sculpture.
Ben has looked at some other installations & has come up with a great idea for anchoring the sculpture to the pads.
I will keep you posted as we make progress.
Regards, Jeff 214-802-8008”
As far as TSA show venues go, we are looking at:
One Arts Plaza
Gaylord Texan
A one-day show set up by Scott Trent
Frisco library

2010 TSA Pot Luck Social –
What a great turnout! Thanks to all who attended and thanks to the volunteers who stayed for cleanup.
The Board members for this year were announced:
Andrew Bachenheimer, President
Nan Phillips, Past President
Cassandra Fink, Vice President (and President Elect for 2011)
Stephen Potter, Treasurer
Deanna Hinchcliff, Secretary
Robin Gary, Membership Chair; Publicity
Eva Hemmi, Social Chair
Cynthia Daniel, Board Member
Lottie Minick, Board Member
Shelley Kolman-Smith, Board Member
The President gave a short speech, regarding some of what TSA was doing for our members and asked, in return, that more members volunteer to serve on committees.
Shows for Your Art:
One member, at the Pot Luck Social, volunteered to be the first person acting as TSA liaison with the Henderson Art Project. With one or two more volunteers, we can have a full committee working to maximize the mutual benefit of a working partnership between TSA and HAP. If you want to be part of this high-profile project, contact Andrew Bachenheimer at: bachassoc@aol.com
Don't worry, this will not be the only committee and you will have an opportunity to serve on other forthcoming projects. The TSA Board, alone, cannot effectively handle all the projects that will benefit our members. The Board will suggest other projects in the coming months, and will then depend upon some of you, our members, to lend a hand and to make suggestions.
One member suggested that we have a TSA Art Fair at which we can have a couple of days to sell our art. Sounds like a great idea, but it can’t happen without your help. If you are interested in helping to make this happen, please contact Eva Hemmi at: eghemmi@hotmail.com .

Member News – Scott Trent
As new leadership takes the reins and continues to aptly guide TSA, I’d like to offer a unique opportunity for TSA members to get involved and support Andy and your organization.
I’m looking for 2-3 TSA members, interested in promoting the organization that can work with me to identify unique opportunities for partnership with H.A.P.
The H.A.P. event has already accomplished a high level of success and the buzz around the Henderson Art Project is strong, I’d like to have TSA be a part of this event and benefit from our success.
If you have time and interested in charting a unique course for TSA, please contact me and let’s talk.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Art Creation Foundation for Children
Art Creation Foundation for Children is a non-profit arts organization created for
education and personal growth of children in need in Jacmel, Haiti.
We are a grassroots project with realistic goals. We can not change the world.
We CAN, however, change the lives of the children we serve.
Nothing is easy in Haiti. It is hard work to make our foundation a reality.
We are strong and intact.
We have HOPE! Our children have HOPE.
Please have HOPE with us!
They are the future of Haiti and they are our future.
They are a community, creative joyous children, and every day closer and closer
to self sufficiency via the arts.

As the incoming president of TSA, I am glad that Nan Phillips is remaining on the board of directors. She is a tough act to follow, and will continue to be a great supporter of our association. I look forward to adding to her legacy and working with an excellent team. Hopefully there will be more members, like you, who will join the team by working on or with the board.
Eager to meet many of you at the Pot Luck social on January 23.
