I'm told
that this is the best show the TSA has held in its 22 years of showing
local sculptors’ works.
Due to the
construction at the NorthPark Center our show space is more concentrated
than in past years, but I think that has worked well for us. We've had
lots of visitors - the people’s choice box was full after just the first
week of the show. From what I've heard the show sitters really enjoyed
their volunteer time there.
The
reception was exciting. There was a large crowd of interesting,
creative and animated artists and art lovers. Our juror, Patricia
Meadows, came to award the prizes and enjoyed us as much as we enjoyed
her. She surprised us by spotlighting and honoring a few of
the dedicated founders of the organization that were there with us -
Morton Rachofsky, Keith Livingston, George Davis & Annie
Davis. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, and I received many
compliments on the show. I want to extend those compliments to all
those who generously put in dedicated hours to pull this diverse group
of artists and pieces together in a delightful exhibit.
Again,
thanks to all for your help. This has been an amazing experience.
Let's do it again!
